Funeral Flowers

We aim to create something very personal and we will do all we can to incorporate flowers or plants of special significance.

We use flowers and foliage grown here in Cumbria, and all designs can be created using fully biodegradable methods.

A sheaf of flowers, a wreath, or a spray are the most requested designs, but please contact me to discuss your ideas.

Special requests have included

~ Just grasses and textures of the meadow, no flowers at all - for a double-ended coffin spray

~ A box of petals to scatter on top of a mountain

~ For winter funerals, a low basket containing a micro ‘garden’ of bulbs, wild strawberries, violets, ferns and trailing ivy, moss. This can be planted up afterwards in a special spot, and will bloom year after year.

Testimonial

“We approached Pepy because we wanted a natural and understated display of colour for my father’s funeral. She suggested a basket containing bulbs that could be planted out afterwards. Rather than flowers dying off, this would give us something that would continue to bloom and grow year after year. She included winter violets and hyacinths which brought muted colours and ivy for structure. What was really touching was the inclusion of wild strawberries. Pepy wasn’t aware that my parents’ house always had wild strawberries, but including something which would bear fruit in summer was a lovely touch. I have no hesitation in recommending Pepy and Backyard Blooms, but not only for funeral arrangements; but for any time that you want something natural with a personal touch.”
