A Cumbrian dry stone wall recreated in the large restaurant window of The Black Bull, Sedbergh, with moss, narcissi, ferns, primroses, nettles, docks, … “absolutely perfect”.

Funeral flowers in the Yorkshire Dales in February

“Thank you so very much Pepy, the flowers, pussy willow branches and moss-covered twigs, seed heads and all of it were completely wonderful. You almost divined what it was I wanted, and supplied exactly that. I was quite worried I wouldn’t be able to find the kind of ultra seasonal, ultra natural, as-if-I-went-out-and-foraged-it-myself flowers I was seeking for my father’s funeral, but you delivered, literally in bucketfuls. And not easy in the newly thawed wilds of late winter Sedbergh! So, thank you, hope to find a perhaps happier occasion to use you in the future!”

Dried wreath kit

“I finally found time to make the wreath. I had a great time making it. I am delighted with the result, I think it looks amazing. I used virtually everything in the kit (which is so well thought out by the way, and beautifully put together). I am not confident in my creative vision, so you will probably see that I was inspired by photos of your own creations on Instagram…..your Instagram is an inspiration you produce such beautiful things.”

Funeral flowers in December

“We approached Pepy because we wanted a natural and understated rather than gaudy display of colour for my father’s funeral. Pepy has a real talent for seeing natural beauty. She listened to what we wanted and immediately came up with the idea of a basket containing a display including bulbs that could be planted out afterwards. Rather than flowers dying off, this would give us something that would continue to bloom and grow year after year. She included winter violets and hyacinths which brought muted colours and ivy for structure. What was really touching was the inclusion of wild strawberries. Pepy wasn’t aware that my parents’ house always had wild strawberries, but including something which would bear fruit in summer was a lovely touch. I have no hesitation in recommending Pepy and Backyard Blooms, but not only for funeral arrangements; but for any time that you want something natural with a personal touch.”

Flower crown workshop ~ for a bride, her family and friends hen party

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for Saturday. Everyone loved it - from 16 years old to 66 years old! We all learnt a new skill and really enjoyed wearing the crowns for our party in the evening! Ruth felt so special and it was a great way to spend time together on her hen party.

You were a fantastic host and made us feel at home in your idyllic barn and house. We loved the rustic feel of the barn and the decorations were so thoughtful! Lunch was so delicious too.
